DETAIL ITINERARY:

Night 1: Hanoi – Lao Cai Overnight Train

8pm you will be met by our travel expert to fulfill the pack list and escorted to Hanoi railway station by our staff. Boarding the train, Finnegans prefer to take you to your cabin before saying good bye and will meet you again here on the day you are back Hanoi.

DAY 1: LAO CAI - SAPA – BIKING MATRA – TA PHIN – TAKO PASS – TRUNG CHAI  - SAPA

Arrive in Lao Cai at around 5:00 am. Get to the exit of the train station where you can find your name sign held by HANOI FINNEGANS guide.

We will take 1hr bus ride uphill to the beautiful town of Sapa. The ride gives you a glimpse of the stunning vistas and impressive rice terraces.

After breakfast on Sapa town, start your exciting ride.

Your ride will be mostly downhill through the suburb of Sapa. You ride along the smoothie road for 3 km, and then get off the main road to head to Ma Tra Village. The Village is home of H’mong ethnic people and only boasts around 50 homes. They survive using their craft such as weaving brocade, silk, forging farming tools and carving silver.

Then head back to Ta Phin Village. In Ta Phin, you will witness the daily life of the Red Dao and Black Hmong minorities. You will also have time to take a short walk around the local village.

Having lunch in the local family.

In the afternoon, keep riding up hill then down hill through the forest to Tako pass. From here you will transfer to Sapa to relax in the hotel, have dinner, and enjoy your free night in romantic Sapa town.

Biking: 12 KM Biking + 2 KM Trekking + 40 KM Driving from Lao Cai

Night 2: Hotel stay

Inclusion: Transfer, private guide, full-day meals (B, L – picnic lunch, D), biking, hotel stay, entrance fees.

DAY 2: SAPA – Y LINH HO – LAO CHAI – TA VAN – LAO CAI TRAIN STATION

Start this day around 9:00am

Take a 6 km walking down to the South East of Sapa along the side of Muong Hoa valley to Y Linh Ho Village of the Black H’mong. The beauty of Y Linh Ho valley is adorned with green mixed gold of terraced rice field and corn field, imposing mountain coved by bushy plants and the fabulous white mixed blue clouds on sky.

Continue to get over 3km for trekking down to Lao Chai Village of H’mong people. To go inside the village, tourists trek through a small bridge led to Muong Hoa valley. There are some traditional houses of H’Mong people, streams flow tranquilly mixed with the smell of flowers and fields, all of them make a relaxed feeling for the new comers.

After lunch time at a local family, walking through terraced rice fields to reach Ta Van Village of the Dzay minority people, where we stay for the night. It gives you a worth chance to learn about the local house architecture that is full of their daily life styles and exclusive custom.

Get back to Sapa by jeep or motorbike. Enjoy the landscapes on the way. Then having dinner & fresh shower before taking the car to Lao Cai Train Station. Leave Sapa to Lao Cai at about 18:00. Over night train back Hanoi

 Biking: 14 KM trekking, 5KM Driving Back Sapa, 40 KM driving to Lao Cai
Night 3: train
Inclusion: Transfer, private guide, train ticket (4 Soft sleeper A/C wooden cabin - sharing cabin), full-day meals (B, L - picnic, D), entrance fees.

DAY 3: HANOI ARRIVAL

8pm boarding the train, after 8 hours we arrive at Tran Quy Cap railway station in Hanoi, our staff are ready to pick you up and take you to our hotel for shower and breakfast. End service.

 Inclusion: Transfer, breakfast, shower.

Important Notes:

Warning: There is some cheating at Lao Cai train station that some guys try to see your travel voucher, then they say, they are looking for you, invite you to the bus, then force you to pay at $30 for a seat on the bus to Sapa. So please do not pay for any body here, and be aware of this problem.

All cabins are equipped with air-conditional and soft linens and basic necessities like individual reading light with the aim of making your stay the most enjoyable. Each carriage has one toilet at the end and open during journey.
The bunk berths are  comfortable, but if  you are taller than 1.83cm, you won’t be able to fully stretch out. You might pull your legs a bit. The ride is comfortable but it can be noisy of the train track is a bit bumpy ride.
